Salary
While the work we
do is rewarding, most of us still like to eat and pay our bills. Making sure that our employees are well
compensated is a priority for AP. AP
carefully monitors the industry's salary trends and works hard to offer
competitive salaries. At AP, overtime
work is often available for those who elect to put in a little more effort
and even salaried employees receive pay or comp time for hours worked over 40
in a week. Each year, AP reviews each
employee's salary/wage, makes cost-of-living adjustments, and also evaluates
the employee's performance for merit salary increases.
Bonuses
When we work hard,
we all like to see that effort acknowledged with some extra cash. And when we strive
to keep our clients happy, that translates to the company doing well
financially. AP's philosophy is to share
the company’s success with those that contribute through hard work. Bonuses are regularly offered to employees
who go above and beyond to keep our commitments to our clients and deliver
exceptional work.
Ownership
At AP, firm
ownership opportunities are real and not simply an idea or empty promise. AP is led by a Board of Directors who work
alongside our employees to help manage projects and the firm. AP's Board is elected by a group of 21
working owners/partners. The number of
owners/partners has steadily increased since the firm opened in 1975. AP's unique approach to ownership has allowed
for two successful ownership changes, and we are just starting a third
transition of ownership.
Health and Wellness
At AP, our
employee's health and wellness is very important. AP's health insurance benefit covers 100
percent of the employee's health insurance cost and nearly 90 percent for
spouses/partners and children. This
means great health insurance is available to an employee's entire family for
very little out-of-pocket expense. AP
also offers dental and vision plans that employees and family members may elect
to participate in. AP's health insurance
plan also offers subsidized fitness and wellness memberships, as well as a
large laundry list of optional add-on benefits.
A pre-tax flexible spending program is also available to employees for
health, childcare, and other qualifying expenses.
Other Insurance Benefits
Peace
of mind is critical to keeping us focused on the important things in life and
that is why AP also provides, at no out-of-pocket expense for our employees, short-term
and long-term disability insurance and a life insurance benefit for our employees
and their family members.
Retirement
Having the option
to retire as early as possible to spend time doing the things we enjoy with our
loved ones and friends probably ranks as a high priority for most of us. To help our employees reach their retirement goals,
AP offers an outstanding 401(k) program where the company will match up to 6
percent of the employee's contribution!
AP also provides access to financial advisors who can help employees
plan to meet their retirement goals.
Paid Leave
Time away from the
office is important and being paid for that time off is even better! AP allows employees with seven or more years
of experience to accrue up to 168 hours of paid time off / sick time each
year. Employees with less than seven
years may accrue up to 128 paid time off / sick time each year. Employees also have the option to accrue up
to 90 hours of compensation time that can be used with paid leave time. AP also provides holiday pay for major
holidays and allows each employee an additional discretionary holiday each
year.
Employee Appreciation
We know it is the
small stuff that really matters. As an
AP employee, you will receive a cash
bonus and a hearty ham at Christmas, and a hefty turkey at Thanksgiving. We also have summer picnics, sponsored golf
tournaments, monthly after-hours employee activities, monthly birthday treats,
and many other activities for individuals and families to get to know each
other outside of work and build comradery and supportive relationships.
Education / Training
The importance of ongoing education and training that keeps
us up on the latest trends in our industry cannot be overstated. In addition to monthly in-house trainings
that keeps our CEUs up to date, AP encourages employees to expand their
technical knowledge and provides up to $1,500 per year for each employee to
seek out external learning opportunities to enhance their career. AP also covers professional licenses and test
fees, as well as fees for professional membership organizations and subscriptions. At AP, your career and education will
